AboutNo one will ever see the same thing the same way, no matter how hard they try. The first camera I really got to know wasn't a still camera, but a behemoth Sony 9 television camera. It taught me basic photography principles. Reporting also taught me how to talk my way into places I shouldn't be or take shots in places where it wasn't allowed. I've taken courses on photo developing but never photography. This came out of a need to capture moments. Details. The way the light was hitting something. I've graduated from my father's ancient Minolta to lugging around several cameras with very diverse personalities… there is the Canon Rebel with the 150 macro lens that refuses to take a bad shot -and the medium format Holga that is cranky and angry and leaks light if you don't tape her properly and speak in soft tones.Family and friends initially thought I was a bit nuts lugging all this crap around. But they seem to enjoy the results. My friends also still insist this is a cheaper hobby than golf. I'm not so sure. And while it is a hobby - not an enterprise - if you're interested in owning prints, please feel free to contact me. Also let me know if you want more information on where a shot was taken and with which camera. Hope you enjoyed your visit and a look at how I see the world… I'll continue to regularly update the site with new images. Cheers Rosalind |
